A course with history in Portuguese hospitality

The Dom Pedro Group is synonymous with excellence, prestige and quality in national and international hospitality, with 8 well-known hotels and resorts, in a total of 1480 rooms and apartments strategically located in Lisbon, Vilamoura, Lagos, Madeira and Ceará, Brazil. In activity since 1968, we have a story to tell.

We are a solid group with a course and experience of several years in the service of hotel and tourism. With a DNA that dictates our success, marked by the excellence of service allied to the art of well receive. A group with strong personality and consolidated values ​​of solidity, prestige, professionalism and innovation. Along our way we have expanded our services and activities, which allows us to affirm that we have built history in Portuguese hospitality.

In the year 2016, we purchased 5 golf courses in Vilamoura, among the most prestigious in Europe. In 2017, we created Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection brand, which reflects our positioning. We combine excellence in accommodation, comfort and refinement, to the practice of this amazing sport, which attracts thousands of visitors to our country, in what is one of the best golf destinations worldwide. We contribute to this success. Today, we are the largest golf tour operator in Portugal.

Lifestyle

The Dom Pedro group is associated with the main social, musical, cultural and sporting events of Lisbon and Vilamoura, contributing to the growth and notoriety of these tourist destinations.

Dom Pedro Lisboa is an official hotel and partner of Rock in Rio Lisboa, since its first edition in Portugal in 2004, as well as ModaLisboa (since 2013) and the Lisbon Marathon (since 2014).

We are regular hosts of events full of elegance and glamor, always present in our already prestigious celebrations with the signature of the Dom Pedro hotels, "Please Disturb!".

The "Dom Pedro BTL Party" marks the beginning, for several years, of the reference hall for the national and international tourism industry. The "Dom Pedro Champagne Party" inaugurates the first day of ABAV - International Tourism Exhibition in Brazil. The "Dom Pedro Summer Party" celebrates the beginning of summer, with a range of special guests.

HISTORY

In 1968, Pietro Saviotti, of Italian origin, visited the Island of Madeira and fell in love with the beauty of the Bay of Machico. It motivated the dream of opening a hotel in that region, later materialized by his son, Stefano Saviotti, who came to Portugal solely for this purpose. In 1973, was born the first hotel of the group Dom Pedro Hotels, Dom Pedro Madeira. The following year, he opened the second unit in Madeira, Dom Pedro Garajau. The sustainable growth of hotels gives rise to the Dom Pedro group, which has expanded to become one of the most important hotels in Portugal.


From Madeira Island to Algarve

In 1976, Stefano Saviotti expands the group to the south of Portugal, inaugurating the first hotel of the Group in the Algarve, Dom Pedro Vilamoura. A milestone in the history of Portuguese hospitality.

In a context of tourism growth in the Algarve region, the Dom Pedro group inaugurates another 3 hotels in the Algarve, with two units in Vilamoura and one in Lagos. Dom Pedro Portobelo Hotel (1985) and Dom Pedro Marina (1988) in Vilamoura, and Dom Pedro Lagos (1985) in front of one of the best known Algarve beaches, Meia Praia.

In the eighties Dom Pedro Hotels pioneered the golf market, creating the first integrated golf offers in Portugal.


The group's first five-star hotel

In 1998 opened the first hotel in Lisbon, the Dom Pedro Lisbon, the group's first 5-star hotel. The Dom Pedro Lisboa hotel, in the center of the capital, was the choice of former President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, among many others celebrities worldwide.


Dom Pedro Hotels Group Internationalization

In 2011, the Dom Pedro Laguna Beach Resort & Golf is inaugurated in Brazil. Located on the coast of Ceará, 40 kilometers from Fortaleza Airport and integrated in the Eco-resort Aquiraz Riviera. A luxury tourist complex, with the only 18-hole Ceará golf course.

Dom Pedro Laguna is surrounded by the beauty of a 15,000 m2 lagoon and 200 meters of sea front, in a true paradise between the quiet Marambaia beach and the green spaces of the golf course.

The water villas and the navigable lagoon have ascribed the fame of Tropical Venice to the resort. The golf course and private swimming pools are some of the highlights of Dom Pedro Laguna, awarded in 2015 with three world tourism awards in the World Travel Awards, in the categories of "Best Resort in Brazil", "Best Golf Hotel in Brazil" and "Best Beach Resort in South America".

In 2016, he renewed the title of "Best Beach Resort in South America" ​​and "Best Golf Hotel in Brazil". In 2017, named for "Best Golf Hotel in Brazil", "Best Beach Resort in the World" and "Best Beach Resort in South America".


An established position in the golf market in Vilamoura

In 2016, Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection, in partnership with entrepreneur Keith Cousins, buy 5 Vilamoura golf courses, one of the best in the Algarve for the practice of the sport, reaffirming the group's historic leadership in the golf market.

This gives rise to the Dom Pedro Golf Collection, which includes in portfolio the fields Dom Pedro The Old Course Golf Club, Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course, Dom Pedro Pinhal Golf Course, Dom Pedro Laguna Golf Course and Dom Pedro Millennium Golf Course.

In 2017, a rebranding of the Dom Pedro brand was carried out, to better reflect the positioning of the group.


The beginning of Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection

The group is presented to the market in 2017, with a rebranding. New name and brand - Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection. A renovated image, comprising a total of 8 hotels and 5 golf courses.

A new image that maintains the brand's identifying colors (gold, bordeaux and black), with a new combination of symbol and lettering. With the objective of strengthening the identity, simultaneously transmitting a new maturity and a more contemporary and current vision. Always maintaining the personality and values ​​of the group: solidity, prestige, professionalism and innovation.
